Daniela de Maddalena, born in Aarau in 1958, lives and works in Biel. Her practice encompasses painting, drawing, objects, installations, performance and video, and often focuses on environmental issues, political power struggles and social issues at both local and global levels.

Daniela de Maddalena brings to the E19 exhibition a critical, narrative and cross-media practice that combines imagery, objects, installation and social observation.

Sara Rohner, born in Biel in 1964, is an artist who works with images, installations and observations of landscape, architecture, plants, dreams and memory. She is well established within the art scenes of Aargau and Biel.

Sara Rohner brings to the E19 exhibition a sensitive visual and installation-based practice that brings to light the observation of nature, memory and fragile interstitial spaces.

Kaspar Ruoff, born in 1974, is a photographer. He grew up in Zurich, studied at the University of Helsinki, amongst other places, and obtained his PhD at ETH Zurich; he has been working as a freelance photographer from his own studio in Brugg since 2006.

Kaspar Ruoff brings a photographic perspective to the E19 exhibition that is characterised in particular by the abstraction of movement, rhythms, flocks of birds and swarms of insects, as well as the observation of nature.
