Artists
Katrin Hotz, born in Glarus in 1976, lives and works in Biel/Bienne. Her practice spans visual art, drawing, painting, site-specific work and colour design in architecture; she is registered as a member of Visarte in Nidau/Biel.
Katrin Hotz brings to the E19 exhibition an artistic practice centred on space and surface, in which drawing, painting, architecture and materials interact with one another.
Linda Pieri is a designer and artist whose work is described by the Bern Design Foundation. There, her practice is characterised as being marked by a morbid sensuality; mention is made, amongst other things, of her 2013 work *Mains*, in which skeletal hands encircle the wearer’s neck, raising questions about love and transience.
Linda Pieri is once again taking part in an E19 group exhibition. The artist token, which was created back in 2021, is being reused.
Marietta Schenk, born in 1985, lives and works in Biel/Bienne. She has been featured in regional exhibitions, including at the Cantonale Berne Jura and as part of the Aeschlimann-Corti Fellowship; sources describe her as an object and performance artist.
Marietta Schenk brings an object- and performance-based perspective from the Bienne art scene to the E19 exhibition.
Milica Slacanin Perez is a visual artist and graphic designer based in Biel/Bienne. Through WOW! Illustrations, she has been developing a practice since 2020 that spans illustration, design, scenography, screen printing, objects, murals and installation art, often with a focus on the female body and body positivity.
Milica Slacanin Perez brings to the E19 exhibition a practice combining graphic art and installation that blends line, form, design and spatial application.
