The 2025 season exhibition at étage 19 brings together four artists: Anke Zuern presents works from her ‘Visual Chemistry’ practice, in which chemical and photographic processes are used to create images; Gigga Hug presents a painterly and draughtsman-like body of work with a distinctive style; Beatriz Eggli presents colour-rich and narrative works; Rittiner and Gomez present a collaborative practice that bridges the gap between concept and sensory experience. At the closing event on 1 June 2025, Lisa Jenny (voice, text, Buex) and Lukas Briner (percussion) will perform a duo concert.

Artists
Anke Zuern is a visual artist and lives in Switzerland. Under the title ‘Visual Chemistry’, she combines chemical processes, photography and visual art techniques to create experimental works at the intersection of science and art.
At etage, Anke Zuern is exhibiting 19 works from her ‘Visual Chemistry’ practice, in which chemical transformation processes are used as an artistic means of image creation.
Gigga Hug is an artist based in Switzerland and is represented by Galerie da MiHi in Bern. Her work encompasses painting, drawing and related media, characterised by a distinctive and unmistakable artistic style.
At étage 19, Gigga Hug presents a colourful, painterly and graphic body of work in which intuition and a sense of form come together to create vibrant visual worlds.
Beatriz Eggli is a visual artist and lives in Switzerland. Her practice combines painting, illustration and applied art; she is active on various platforms and is committed to fostering artistic networking in the region.
Beatriz Eggli is exhibiting 19 works at etage, in which vibrant colours and narrative imagery come together to form a distinctive artistic vision.
Rittiner and Gomez are an artist duo based in Switzerland. Their collaborative practice combines different media and approaches to create original projects and exhibitions at the intersection of concept and sensory experience.
At étage 19, Rittiner and Gomez present a collaborative project in which two artistic perspectives come together to form a shared, multi-layered visual language.
Concert
Lisa Jenny is a vocal artist, lyricist and performer. She works with her voice, text and her distinctive ‘Bux’ (resonance chamber), and operates within interdisciplinary and experimental musical contexts.
For the closing event, Lisa Jenny will present a sound-spatial piece using her voice, text and her ‘Bux’, which plays with the boundaries between song, speech and sound.
Concert
Lukas Briner is a percussionist and musician based in Switzerland. He works in jazz, improvisation and interdisciplinary contexts, and is active as a musical partner in various projects and duos.
Lukas Briner will be performing at the closing event as a percussionist in a duo with Lisa Jenny, in which free rhythms and sound exploration come together.
